Research @ BIITM

At BIITM we strongly believe in fostering a quality research environment, and the same is reflective in the plethora of ongoing research-related activities in our institute, a large pool of faculty members having a doctoral degree and the continuous encouragement for other faculty members to pursue a doctoral degree. We have our own bi-annual journal “BIITM Business Review” which provides a platform for publishing original empirical, theoretical and conceptual works in the field of management. By continuously honing the research capabilities of our faculty members, we intend carve a niche for ourselves by not only excelling in classroom teaching but also create a strong research orientation. Additionally, we also provide value added courses, to bolster the analytical ability of our students. To enable self-development of our faculty, we provide the necessary support essential for attending FDP’s, Conferences, seminars etc. organized by various institutions of repute. In this endeavour, BIITM has set up a Research and Innovation Cell (RIC) wing at the institute level. The RIC of BIITM aims to follow and practise the true elements of the Research Policy of the institute, in both letter and spirit.

The RIC operates under the supervision of a 4-member committee comprising of Prof. Pratap Kumar Tripathy, Prof. Biswa Bihari Das, Dr. Ramakrishna Mishra and Mr. Vivek Mishra. The cell undertakes various activities to foster quality research environment in the Institute. One such activity is conducting monthly research workshop/seminars where the in-house faculty members, as well as students are provided with an opportunity to enhance their research skillset for enhanced research output. The same is evident in the incremental publications by our faculty members.
